Today I read a book called Tangled. Once upon a time, a lady named Mother Gothem was strolling through the woods, and found a golden flower. There were rumors about a golden flower that made you young and cured you from any sickness, but she didn't believe in it. As she went to pick it up, she started to hum a soft lullaby. Just then, she began to grow young.
She decided to leave it alone. A few years later, a queen in a nearby village was sick. The townspeople believed in the story about the flower and the guards went looking for it. They soon found it. They made it into a potion and the queen drank it and got better. Soon, she had a baby, and she named her Rapunzel. Mother Gothem stole the child that night, and took her to a tall hidden tower and raised her as her own. Every year, the king and queen sent lanterns into the sky, hoping she would come back. As she grew older...the more Rapunzel wondered what they meant. Her best friend was a chameleon maned Pascal. Running though the woods at top speed was a man named Flynn Rider and his escape mates. The place guards rode on they horses including the captain riding a white horse named Maximus. Maximus wanted Flynn dead for stealing the lost princesses crown. Flynn quickly tricked his escape mates and ran but his bag with the crown flew over his head and dangled on a branch over the edge of a high cliff. Maximus reared up and the captain fell off and down a steep hill. Soon, both Maximus and Flynn were on the branch playing tug of war with the bag. SNAP! The branch broke and both Maximus and Flynn fell onto the ground. Flynn got up and ran not knowing were to go. I'm going on a trip for 3 days Said Mother Gothem, I will be back soon. And she was off. A few minuets later, Flynn was still was wandering around until he found a path that led to a tall tower. He quickly climbed up the tower and got whacked in the head with a frying pan. When he woke up, golden hair was wrapped around him not letting him move. Rapunzel looked in the bag and saw the crown. She knocked him again and hid it in a pot. He woke up and looked around the room. He guessed the pot and soon he was knocked out again. She hid it under one of the floor boards Part two tomorrow... Ashleigh

Spring fact: Spring is one of the four seasons. It comes after winter and before summer.
Spring is my favorite season because in the summer the slides at the park are too hot! I don't even know why I'm talking about the park! The winter and fall are way too cold. But in spring you can go hiking and to the park, go bike riding, and skate boarding, and go fishing! Also, the flowers start to blossom in all colors, like pink, purple, blue, orange and yellow. It's mostly the little things in life that make me happy, and many of them happen in the Spring. Ashleigh Moose are the biggest in the deer species. Males are easy to spot by their huge antlers, which can grow to 6 ft from end to end. Moose have big faces with long snouts and beards that dangle below the chin. A flap of skin called a bell hangs beneath every moose's throat.
Because of their height, moose like to usually browse in higher grasses and shrubs because lowering their heads to the ground is hard. In winter they usually eat shrubs and pine cones, but sometimes also scrape snow with their hooves to clear areas for grazing on mosses and lichens. Ashleigh I just want to say Happy St. Patrick's Day and hope you have a good one.
Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. On St Patrick's Day, it is customary to wear shamrocks, green clothing or green accessories. St Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish. Saint Patrick's feast day, as a kind of national day, was already being celebrated by the Irish in Europe in the ninth and tenth centuries. In later times, he became more and more widely seen as the patron of Ireland. Saint Patrick's feast day was finally placed on the universal liturgical calendar in the Catholic Church due to the influence of Waterford-born Franciscan scholar Luke Wadding. In nature, carbon atoms join with oxygen to form the carbonate ion, CO3. These ions combine with metal cations to form carbonate minerals. These minerals are commonly formed in sedimentary and oxidizing environments.
The carbonates fall into three groups: the calcite group, the dolomite group, and the aragonite group. The copper carbonate minerals, azurite and malachite, are the only important economic carbonates. Flamingos have bright pink feathers, long legs and tall necks. When a flamingo finds food: shrimp, snails, and alga, it dives its head into the water, scooping up the fish. Because of there webbed feet, Flamingos are able to run on water letting get speed before flying into the sky.
Flamingos build nests that look like a ball of mud along waterways. At the top of the ball or mound, in a shallow hole, the female lays one egg. Both the male and female take turns sitting on the egg to keep it warm. After 30 days, the egg hatches. Flamingo young are born white, with soft feathers and a straight bill. The bill curves downward as the flamingo matures. Ashleigh A verb is an action word. Here is an example: Max liked running up and down the street. Running is the verb. Max is the noun.
